Open Cupboard Food Pantry
Open Cupboard Pantry: Food Pack Program
The goal of Open Cupboard at First Church is to help those in the community struggling with food insecurity. In September 2021, Open Cupboard partnered with CT Foodshare to better assist those trying to put food on the table. This partnership allows the pantry to offer shelf-stable food items, frozen meat, and occasionally fresh produce and pet supplies. Food distribution is on a drive-thru basis taking place on Friday afternoons between 3-4pm in the First Church parking lot. Open Cupboard is also listed on 211cy.org as “Open Cupboard at First Congregational Church of Granby.” The 211ct.org website serves as a resource for those seeking assistance with food, housing, mental health, etc., or those looking for volunteer opportunities.
If you or someone you know is struggling with food insecurity, please stop by the First Church parking lot at 219 North Granby Road on Fridays between 3 and 4 p.m. for food distribution.
