Music
“Praise God with the sound of the trumpet!” Music is a powerful way to connect with God and with each other, and plays a central role in our worship. We have two main ensembles, in addition to ad hoc groups which come together from time to time.
Chancel Choir
We sing music from a diverse range of backgrounds, cultures, and periods from Baroque to Broadway. The Chancel Choir usually leads worship three times a month, but if you can only make occasional rehearsals and Sundays, join us anyway and enjoy the camaraderie and music. All skill levels welcome!
Bell Choir – rehearsals on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm in the Sanctuary
This ensemble features musicians from children to adult. We play music on our own, with the choir, with the congregation, and with invited instrumentalists. Typically the bell choir plays once a month, featuring a 3-octave set of brass Malmark handbells and a 3-octave set of Schlumerich handchimes. There is always room in the handbell choir for seasoned veterans or newcomers alike!
